SRINAGAR, 17 September 2005 — The much-awaited “heart-to-heart” intra-Kashmir conference which started in the winter capital Jammu yesterday came a cropper with most of the top Kashmiri leaders from both parts of divided Kashmir preferring to stay away.
Top leaders, whose names appeared among invitees, have declined to participate in the meet where purportedly the participants were supposed to engage in brainstorming sessions to hammer out possible solutions to the vexed Kashmir dispute.
