RIYADH, 19 September 2005 — Saudi Arabian Airlines said yesterday it would take delivery of the first of 15 Embraer 170 aircraft ordered from the Brazilian manufacturer in mid-November. The second of the 66-seat planes will be delivered in December and two more in January 2006, said Director General Khaled Bin Bakr, quoted by the official SPA news agency. He said the remaining aircraft, ordered last April, would then be delivered at the rate of one a month. Embraer has said the deal is worth $400 million.
