Several nominees, presenters and guests of the 57th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, were dressed by Giorgio Armani. Glenn Close, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on “The Shield,” selected a Giorgio Armani black strapless gown, with a rouched bodice and sweetheart neckline. Presenter Nicolette Sheridan, starring in the multi-nominated ABC series “Desperate Housewives”, chose a Giorgio Armani strapless dusty-rose satin gown with a fitted bodice, cascading tiered skirt, and floor-sweeping train, while attendee Aisha Tyler selected a Giorgio Armani strapless white silk classic column gown. Nominees in the category of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, Geoffrey Rush and Ed Harris, both chose Giorgio Armani. Geoffrey Rush, nominated for his leading role in “The Life and Death of Peter Sellers,” wore a one-button peak lapel tuxedo with spread collar evening shirt and satin bowtie. Ed Harris selected a three-button peak lapel tuxedo, spread collar evening shirt and black silk necktie. He was nominated for his work in the HBO series “Empire Falls.”
