JEDDAH, 9 October 2005 — Financial market sources have expected big demand for Saudi riyal in Egypt in the second half of Ramadan when thousands of Egyptians come to the Kingdom to perform Umrah. Some Egyptians buy US dollar, UAE dirham and euro when they do not get enough riyal from the market. One banking official said Egyptian banks had a large reserve of riyals to meet the growing demand of pilgrims.
