JEDDAH, 11 August 2006 — The students of Hala International School have done well at the IGCSE exam whose results were announced Monday. The 7th graduating batch of the school once again proved its academic merit by giving a brilliant performance much to the delight of its teachers. In all 49 students including 29 girls sat for the exam and all of them passed. Some of the girls who did very well are Madiha Abdul Karim (5 A*’s and 1 A), Yumna Ziaullah (2 A*’s and 4 A’s), Noora Ameen (1 A* and 4 A’s and the ICE award with distinction), and Marzia Habib (1A* and 4 A’s). The boys did just as well and among the top scorers are Abdul Khaliq Ali Al-Sa’adi (3 A*’s and 2 A’s), Mohammad Taseen (2 A*’s and 4 A’s), Junaid Munaf (1 A* and 5 A’s) and Hamza Yusuf (5 A’s and the ICE award with distinction). “We’re proud of the graduating class and wish the students the very best for their future,” Principal Tanveer Tariq said.
