RIYADH, 13 August 2006 — Saudi actress Amal Al-Hussein announced that she will take on new roles in the upcoming comedy serial “Tash Ma Tash” a popular Saudi TV serial telecast in Ramadan, the Al-Watan daily reported yesterday.
“My role in ‘Tash Ma Tash’ is very different this year. I will be taking on several new roles, which my fans are not accustomed in seeing me before,” Amal said.
She added that the serial would discuss various social issues in a much bolder tone this year.
Amal will also star in another Ramadan serial this year. The 90-episode program, “Al-Wigaya Hiya Al-Ghaya,” which is written and directed by Muhammad Al-Mafreh.
The young actress also disclosed her plans to pursue a master’s in business administration from the American University in Egypt.
