RIYADH, 15 August 2006 — Kuwaiti actress Ahlam Hassan has completed shooting her role in the TV film “Al-Raha,” the Al-Watan daily reported yesterday.
The film, directed by Bassam Saad and written by Wahj, casts Ahlam in the role of a shrewd, ill-tempered and scheming daughter-in-law.
Ahlam’s character constantly plots against other members of the family and makes life a living hell for them. Ahlam said “Al-Raha” is a social film focusing on the problems faced by Gulf families and she was very happy to take on such a challenging role.
The cast of the film includes Suad Abdullah, Asmahan Taufik, Maram Wahba, Khaled Amin, Habib Ghalum and Hamad Al-Omani. The Dubai channel will air the film in Ramadan.
