JEDDAH, 25 August 2006 — Al-Shabab as expected did not find any difficulty closing out the match against Al-Hazem 3-0 in a one-sided affair yesterday in the Prince Faisal ibn Fahd Cup football tournament at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh.
Naji Majrashi scored two goals for Shabab with Faisal Al-Sultan hitting the third marker. Shabab now have 6 points from two victories.
In Hail, Al-Ahli romped past Taie 5-2 in another one-sided match. Ahli could have scored more than the five goals were it not for the many missed chances by their striker. Waleed Al-Jizani scored 2 goals for Ahli. Khaled Badra, Turki Al-Thagafi and Midoraj each netted one goal for the visiting team. Sultan Al-Miteb scored Taie’s lone goal.
The result gave Ahli the Group A lead on goal difference with 6 points. Meantime, Al-Ittihad face a difficult assignment against Al-Wehda of Makkah here at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium and Al-Nasr meet Al-Faisali in Al-Khurma in today’s matches.
