RIYADH, 26 October 2006 — Spectators were left looking on in silence as a remote control plane running on gasoline crashed into a residential building and went up in flames outside the Prince Faisal ibn Fahd Stadium in Malaz where crowds had gathered for the third day of a remote control airplane show. The Civil Defense managed to put the fire out before it spread to nearby trees and property. Yesterday’s show featured over 30 airplanes. The sport is still relatively new to the Kingdom and was only approved three years ago by the Council of Ministers.
