JEDDAH, 31 March 2006 - Culture and Information Minister Iyad Madani congratulated the team that produced and presented the radio program "No To Terrorism" for Jeddah radio stations, which won a first and gold medal in the Ninth Gulf Festival for Radio and Television held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This is first time a Kingdom's radio program has won the gold medal in the Gulf festival, which has been held every other year for the past two decades.
The program was written by Samir Habib Bakhsh, presented by the Saud Al-Dhiyabi and Najwa Mumina and produced by the Muhammad Ahmad Al-Asiri.
The program carries the message of promoting peace and love to counter violence and hatred.
The team that produced this program also won wards at the 11th and 12th Arab Radio and Television Festival held in Tunis in 2003 and 2005.
Bakhsh also received the best scriptwriter award for the show entitled "Inspiration of the Feather and Pen from the Land of the Holy Mosque" from Tunis in 2005.
