JEDDAH, 2 November 2006 — With 500 orphans, various families and representatives of 15 charities from across the region participating, Saudi Aramco organized a closing ceremony for the “Orphans’ Eid Gift Program.”
The event, which was entitled “Together...We Draw Their Smiles,” was held at Chuck E. Cheese on the Corniche Street. The function was attended by General Director of Social Affairs in the Makkah region Ihsan Tayeb and members of the media.
Nabeel Baeshen, manager of Aramco Affairs in the Western region, said that this was the 5th consecutive year the event was being held and comes as part of Saudi Aramco’s effort to serve the community and support charity work.
A team from the pan-Arab children’s satellite television channel Space Toon performed a live show along with Chuck E. Cheese characters. Officials from Saudi Aramco personally delivered gifts to the 500 orphans.
