RIYADH, 3 September 2006 — Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company, held a dinner meeting in honor of French Minister of Foreign Affairs Philippe Douste-Blazy and Prince Alwaleed’s spouse Princess Ameera. The meeting took place at the French Foreign Ministry in Paris. It was also attended by Alwaleed’s adviser Hassan Yasin, legal adviser Salah Al-Hejailan and the head of protocol department at KHC Ms. Nahla Al-Anbar.
Prince Alwaleed and the French minister discussed the long-standing issues and the social and economic bilateral relations. The meeting comes in line with fact that Alwaleed is the most significant and prominent international investor in France. Topping the list of his investments in France are the George V Hotel and Euro Disney Paris. In addition, the prince is also a major cultural contributor, when he decided earlier this year to fund the creation of an exhibition space for the new department of Islamic arts at the Musée du Louvre in Paris.
