JEDDAH, 7 April 2006 — The Jeddah Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India held its annual dinner for members and family at Hotel Jeddah Trident recently.
Chapter members attended the event with their families. Chapter Chairman Saquib Agboatwala welcomed Indian Consul General Ausaf Saeed, JCL President Shahid Amin, sponsors, guests and professional colleagues. Reviewing the chapter activities, he commended the efforts put in by all committee members throughout the year to provide members with quality technical sessions.
A grand raffle with over 70 prizes at stake ranging from air tickets, gift vouchers, mobile phones, wristwatches, perfumes and household items also took place.
P. Ravindran won the prize of two Jeddah-Bombay return tickets presented by E. A. Juffali & Bros. Tickets donated by Air-India, Gulf Air and Jet Airways were won by Khalid Kadri, Nadeem Bhamla and Anees Shaikh respectively.
Waseem Shaikh and T. N. Murali won the award for 10 kg free cargo to any place in the world presented by DHL. The event was co-sponsored by Saudi Arabian Glass and Basem International Shipping & Logistics. There were 37 premium Titan watches sponsored by Al Hussaini, 10 Samsung watches by Ali Zaid Al-Quraishi, Easycom telephone from Atieco, Omnia microwave oven and water cooler from Trans Middle East, Phillips DVD from Arabian Disc, products from Abdul Latif Jameel’s Import Distribution company and ALJ Technology Products Company, cameras from Sameer Kodak and Emam Distribution (Fuji), perfumes from Binzagar Avon and Tamer, microwave oven from Zaina International.
