MS Arabia Adds Gold Certified Partners
Saudi Information Technology Company Ltd. (SIT) has become a Microsoft (MS) Gold Certified Partner for its competency in providing IT solutions and services to the business industry in Saudi Arabia.
Gold Certified Partner status is the highest level of MS partner certification, and indicates both the expertise of the partner and the strength of their relationship with Microsoft. Qualification as a Gold Partner requires companies to meet a wide range of criteria, including technical qualifications, experience and business development plans for their chosen area.

IBM Introduces New Servers
IBM Middle East has introduced three new computer server ranges for the Middle East market adding significant advantages and enhancements to the IBM System i, System p and xSeries server lines.

I-Mate Launches Direct Push Technology
I-mate has made available a push e-mail upgrade for all its Windows Mobile 5.0 devices via club i-mate (www.clubimate.com). The upgrade — in connection with Microsoft Exchange 2003 Service Pack 2 — delivers the same experience as other push e-mail systems but without the expense of an additional relay server and extra client licenses required by many third-party systems. This quick upgrade is available for i-mate SP5, i-mate SP5m, i-mate K-JAM, i-mate JASJAR and the new i-mate JAMin.
Microsoft Direct Push Technology allows business users to access their e-mail on the go through real-time synchronization between i-mate devices and Microsoft Office Outlook.
The service provides users with a very familiar e-mail environment to access not only new e-mail messages, pushed directly to the user’s i-mate device as soon as they reach the server, but also their calendar, contacts and tasks.
The new Messaging & Security Feature Pack (MSFP) means that businesses can now securely mobilize their work force with no extra investment in their existing infrastructure. Newly manufactured i-mate devices are now shipping with this embedded upgrade. MSFP for Windows Mobile 5.0 will work with the company’s existing e-mail provider on all i-mate form factors, to suit the personal preferences of different individuals within the company.
