Snake in a Car Scarier Than Summer Flick

YANBU, 2 September 2006 — The summer movie “Snakes on a Plane” wouldn’t be half as scary as finding a real scaly creeper slithering up into your family sedan, the Al-Madinah daily reported yesterday. This is precisely what happened to a Saudi family during a weekend getaway to mountains near this port city. While setting up camp, the mother noticed a snake beneath the car. The father tried to “shoo” the creature away, but instead of fleeing from beneath the car into the open, it worked its way up through the chassis of the vehicle. Facing a bout of heebie-jeebies, the family opted out of going anywhere near the car. Instead they began walking and eventually ran into a couple of Bedouins, who didn’t hesitate to find the reptile and kill it.
