RIYADH, 21 May 2006 — For the first time in the Kingdom, Mobily has started offering international MMS with Egypt (Vodafone), Bahrain (Batelco), Malaysia (Maxis) and Luxemburg (Vox), which enable Mobily subscribers to send multimedia messages to these countries from Mobily network in the Kingdom.

Earlier, Mobily launched the roaming MMS for its subscribers in more than 36 countries with around 60 mobile operators worldwide. While roaming, the subscribers can also send MMS to other countries or back to the Kingdom. Mobily was also the first Saudi mobile operator to launch MMS last year when it introduced its services with more than 15 other new added value services, launched for the first time in the Kingdom, such as located base services (LBS), roaming for prepaid SIM cards, missed call notifications messaging for prepaid SIM cards and GPRS EDGE.

Mobily has announced the decrease of MMS from 60 to 40 halalas per 50 Kb for local MMS, starting yesterday, while the international MMS will cost 75 halalas per the same amount of bytes.
