RIYADH, 30 May 2006 — India’s Human Resources Development Minister Arjun Singh arrived in Riyadh yesterday on a six-day official visit to Saudi Arabia. He was received at the airport by Higher Education Minister Khaled Al-Anqari, Deputy Education Minister Othman Al-Rabiah and other top Saudi officials. Indian Ambassador M.O.H. Farook and several India officials were also present at the airport.
Arjun is leading a seven-member delegation which will hold talks with Saudi officials to enhance Indo-Saudi cooperation in the field of education and to strengthen academic relations between India and Saudi Arabia.
