RIYADH, 30 May 2006 — Kingdom Holding Company Chairman Prince Alwaleed bin Talal received Tunisian Ambassador to the Kingdom Salah Eddine Maaoui at his office. During the meeting, Maaoui conveyed the regards from Tunisian President Zine El-Abidine Ben Ali and congratulated Prince Alwaleed on receiving the French highest civilian honor the “Legion of Honor” Medal conferred on him by President Jacques Chirac.
The ambassador also congratulated the prince on the launch of the new Islamic Al Resala channel. The ambassador said that Prince Alwaleed is highly regarded by the president and people of Tunisia, and is a role model for young people there.
Also on the agenda of discussions were social and economic issues, and Saudi-Tunisian relations. The Tunisian ambassador handed a letter to the prince from the Tunisian president. Prince Alwaleed thanked the ambassador and asked him to convey his cordial regards to the president.
