BHOPAL, 9 June 2006 — The newly formed Bharatiya Janashakti leader Ms. Uma Bharti, who is a former Madhya Pradesh chief minister, has said that she would do all in her capacity to convince the Muslim community for the construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya. Bharti was addressing a Press conference about 30 km away from Durg town after she was not allowed to hold a public meeting in Durg on Wednesday for ‘security’ reasons. The firebrand Sadhvi (priestess) said that she was not allowed to hold public meeting not because there was any threat to her life but because she is a threat for the BJP. She further said that her Janshakti party would emerge as a viable alternative to the BJP, which has lost its character and has shunned its principles.
