JEDDAH, 15 June 2006 — Urdu Academy Jeddah, with the support of Afnan International School, awarded students who topped in the Urdu language examination of International Indian School, Jeddah. Chief guest Indian Haj Consul Dr. Suhel Aijaz Khan presented the awards. Wafa was the topper in XII CBSE and Raheel Pervez, was second.
Huzaifa Meraj Bulandshahri, who obtained 97% in X CBSE topped in Urdu whereas Syeda Sara Quadri, who obtained 96% in Urdu was placed in the second position.
A special award was presented to Naumaan Mohammad Nayyar, a former IISJ student, for securing 87.5 percent marks and obtaining the first rank all over India in the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE)-2006.
Academy President Jamal Qadri spoke about the support extended by Dr. Suhel and India Forum President Kader Khan to the academy. Mementos were also presented to Shaikh Ibrahim, Danish Abdul Ghafoor, Abdul Haq Hashim, Asif Sayeed and Abdul Shukoor Quadri for their support and assistance to the Urdu Academy.
