JEDDAH, 17 June 2006 — The families of two Saudis — Manie ibn Shaman Al-Utaibi, 26, and Yasser ibn Talal Al-Zahrani, 22 — who died at the US prison camp in Guantanamo Bay said they expected the bodies to arrive in the Kingdom within a couple of days.

Talal Abdullah Al-Zahrani, Yasser’s father, said: “I have been in touch with the authorities and I have been informed that the bodies are expected to arrive in the Kingdom in a couple of days.”

Manie’s uncle, who is his legal guardian, however, said that he had no news of the date, but was abreast of the news that the United States will be releasing the bodies soon.

Earlier, US officials said they were sending home the bodies of two Saudis and a Yemeni who they said committed suicide at Guantanamo Bay.
