JEDDAH, 22 June 2006 — A major training program on health insurance will be held at the Community College of King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, a press statement said. The course will be open to both Saudis and expatriates.
The course aims at providing basic information about insurance, the statement said, adding that it was designed to meet job market requirements in the insurance sector, according to Abdul Ilah Saati, professor at the college.
“It will focus on five main topics, such as health insurance principles, cooperative health insurance law, insurance market structure, insurance subscription and insurance requirements,” he said.
The course will shed light on insurance companies and agents, insured individuals and firms, insurance conditions, cooperative insurance and insurance coverage and premiums.
The participants will also learn about medical practices and definitions, external and internal patients and legal abortion as well as about different medical clinics such as dentistry and maternity.
