JEDDAH, 24 October 2006 — Egyptian actress Hala Sedki is currently preparing to shoot her new film titled “Hiya Fouda”. Producer Yousuf Shaheen selected her to play the lead role in the film along with leading actors and actresses, such as Khaled Saleh and Minna Chalabi. Preparations for the film were on from the beginning of this year.
Sedki is awaiting the release of another film titled “Ma Taji Narqus” in which she stars along with Yusra, Tamer, Hajras, Ezzat Abu Auf and Emi. The script of the film was written by Osama Fahmi and was produced by Enas Al-Daghidi. The story revolves around a female lawyer who fell in love with her dance trainer.
Sedki recently completed shooting her role in the film “Aslihat Dimar Shamil” (“Weapons of Mass Destruction”) with Toufik Abdul Hameed, Hussein Al-Imam, Manal Salama, Ahmed Saadani and Jihan Qamari. It was authored and produced by Essam Al-Shammaa. She plays the role of a television reporter in the film having a tense relation with her psychologist husband.
