MANAMA, 29 June 2006 — Arab Banking Corporation (ABC), the parent company of the Arab banking group headquartered in Bahrain, has announced that its long-term counterparty credit ratings have been raised recently by both Standard & Poor’s and Capital Intelligence to “BBB+” from “BBB.” The bank’s short term counterparty ratings have been affirmed by both rating agencies at “A-2.”
