ABU DHABI, 29 June 2006 — The UAE Academy and the British University in Dubai (BUiD) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to provide professional development programs and research and consultancy services according to British standards to the UAE Academy in Abu Dhabi.

The MOU was signed by Mohammed Omar Abdullah, the director general of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and David Lock, the registrar and acting chief executive officer of BUiD, at a ceremony at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI).

The agreement will enable both organizations to attempt to engage businesses throughout the region into industry-led research and human resource development programs with a view to ensuring sustainable economic development in the country.
