JEDDAH, 9 July 2006 — Agriculture Minister Fahd Balghunaim has been named chief executive officer of the board of directors of the National Commission for Wildlife Conservation and Development. He takes over the post from Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal.
According to a royal decree issued yesterday, the order came in response to Prince Saud’s request to exempt him from the duties of the wildlife body.
In another royal decree, the current president general of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice Ibrahim Al-Ghaith’s term in the office as the minister’s rank has been extended for four more years.
