HAIL, 13 July 2006 — A pharmacy robbery was thwarted here when the pharmacist struggled with the armed thug and sustained a gunshot wound to his foot as a result, Al-Riyadh daily reported yesterday. The robber tried to get away with SR50,000 in cash when the pharmacist hit the man from behind as he was fleeing the store. The sound of the gunshot attracted a nearby patrol car and the robber was forced to flee without the money. The pharmacist was treated for the injury at a nearby hospital.
