AL-LAITH, 16 July 2006 — The father of a newly wedded young bride was hauled off to jail for being a deadbeat after telling the wedding band he didn’t have the cash to pay them for their performance, the daily Okaz reported yesterday. The band’s leader called the cops and the man was detained until the band was paid its due.
