JEDDAH, 17 July 2006 — A countrywide search has been launched to find a Saudi marine who disappeared two weeks ago after leaving his home in Qunfunda for work in Jizan.
A few hours after 37-year-old Saleh Muhammad Al-Eisa left home in his car, his wife rang his cell phone but was unable to get in contact with him. After Al-Eisa failed to return home the next day, his wife telephoned his workplace but was still unable to contact him.
A few days after his disappearance, Al-Eisa’s wife rang his cell phone and was able to speak to a Yemeni man in Baha who said that the phone was given to him as a gift by a Saudi friend.
