JEDDAH, 18 July 2006 — A married couple got into an argument over a dress the mother wanted to buy for her daughter, the daily Al-Madinah reported yesterday. According to the report, the wife wanted to buy a slinky party dress for their daughter. The father saw the dress and said it would be a rainy day in a Riyadh summer before he would allow his daughter to be seen in such a dress. His wife had other views about it. The dispute descended until the husband divorced his wife right there in the store and drove his ex-wife to her parent’s house.
