JEDDAH, 20 July 2006 — The Saudi stock market tumbled yesterday. The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) plummeted 6.32 percent to close 707.3 points down at 10,485.06.

Out of 81 stocks traded, only two were in a positive territory while all other stocks declined yesterday. Shares of Samba Financial Group in the Banking sector and Tihama Advertising & Public Relations Co. in the Services sector gained yesterday.

The stock market turnover also dropped to SR15.71 billion compared to SR25 billion on Tuesday. The industrial stocks were major losers yesterday as the index fell 2,244.42 points to 21,686.71. The Bnking index also suffered 923.12 points loss at 30,299.18 points.
