RIYADH, 20 July 2006 — The Saudi Cable Company (SCC) announced a net profit of SR24.1 million for the first half of 2006 compared with SR9.8 million for the same period last year. This was 146.56 percent increase. Total sales reached SR410.1 million for the first six months compared with SR274.5 million for the same period last year.

JEDDAH — Bank Albilad announced a net profit of SR147.1 million for the first half of 2006 compared with losses of SR98 million for the same period last year. This year the bank managed to diversify its sources of income and the total revenue from all operations reached SR368.8 million by the end of the first half.
