JEDDAH, 20 July 2006 — Ahli Club Soccer Academy is to offer English and computer training courses to their students as part of a long-term plan to make them not only good players in future but better educated and productive citizens as well.
To implement the program the academy has signed a contract with Computer Club, which is part of the General Administration for Education in the Makkah area. The agreement signed includes training courses in computer and English language for Ahli academy’s young players for the upcoming school term.
The training program will be handled by experts in computer and English language. This step is in line with Ahli academy’s vision of having their players improve their skills and productivity.
The general manager of Ahli Club Academy, Dr. Ibraheem Mufti, said that these programs would be introduced to the young players in a very attractive way to encourage as many students possible.
The training course, he said, will take place before the training session for three days a week. At the end of the training course, each young player will receive an official certificate. He said, “this is part of the academy plan to improve the educational side of players. There are more other plans that will be taking place in the future.”
