TAIF, 26 October 2006 — A little girl in Taif had three fingers amputated and the others burned as a result of playing with firecrackers during Eid, press reports stated. In another incident, a truck carrying firecrackers collided with a car on the Oraiara-Riyadh Road, killing the Pakistani driver of the truck. Meanwhile, police foiled an attempt to smuggle 321 cartons of firecrackers into the Kingdom through Bataha, an entry point on the Saudi-UAE border.
