ISLAMABAD, 27 July 2006 — Pakistan People’s Party and All-Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, which emerged single largest majority party during election for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, have fielded their candidates for the presidency of Pakistan-administered Kashmir. All-Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference fielded Raja Zulqarnain and PPP has nominated Sardar Qamaruz Zaman for the top slot of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Polling will be held tomorrow in Muzaffarabad where the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly will serve as the electoral college. Meanwhile, newly founded People’s Muslim League has so far not participated in oath-taking ceremony.
