JEDDAH, 2 August 2006 — Passport officials arrested 11 undocumented women workers of Asian origin in a sting operation on Monday. Police found them as they were attempting to hitchhike their way to Makkah. An undercover immigration official approached them saying he would drive them safely to Makkah against the payment of SR300. The unsuspecting women boarded the vehicle and were arrested, the daily Al-Riyadh reported yesterday.
