AL-JOUF, 3 August 2006 — A young man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for abusing his parents and attempting to stab them, Al-Riyadh daily reported yesterday. The defendant has appealed the verdict. The judge condemned the youth by saying his abusive disposition toward his parents was evident even into the courtroom during the trial. In another case, a judge sentenced a young man to five years in prison for attacking his mother and sisters.
