JEDDAH, 14 August 2006 — A team from the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah will be visiting Madinah on Thursday and Friday to provide passport and consular services to Filipinos residing in the holy city.
A press statement from the consulate urged Filipinos who are 18 years old and above to come and also sign up for the Philippine Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV) exercise if they are not yet registered voters. Only those who are registered as absentee voters can participate in the May 2007 national elections.
The consular team will hold office at the Le Meridien Hotel.
