ALKHOBAR, 20 August 2006 — The Association of Computer Enthusiasts of Saudi Arabia (Aces) will hold a seminar on Linux system administration for members of the Filipino community in Alkhobar and nearby places on Aug. 25.
Salvador Orbigo Jr., an expert on the subject, will conduct the seminar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Al-Hammad Hotel.
Organizers said participants should have basic knowledge in Windows 2000/2003 Server. Participants are encouraged to bring along their laptops, if they have any, so that they could try Linux.
Aces is also getting ready for its 2nd seminar series on Business Application Software for Beginners. With Alexis Paulino as lead lecturer/trainer, the four-Friday seminar will be held on Sept. 8, 15, 22 and 29 at the International Philippine School Alkhobar (IPSA) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
