JEDDAH, 24 August 2006 — Mobily is offering new discounts on its Internet service. The new tariffs apply to all mobile Internet and data transfer to both 2.5G and 3G data, a press statement issued by the company said. Customers can subscribe to the service by calling Mobily customer service on 1100 or visiting any Mobily outlet.
“We don’t charge any activation fee for this service,” the statement added. Mobily offers two distinguished packages for a monthly fee of SR10 and SR25, respectively, and charges four halalas for additional kilobytes. To have the Internet settings: Send number “2” in a text messages to 1100 or use Mobily menu command *1100#.
Subscribers could know the remaining MB balance of Data Bundle by sending an SMS to 1411 for postpaid and using the command *1422# for prepaid. Mobily Data Bundles will be used for Wap and Internet access in the Kingdom only. Accessing the service while roaming or outside the Kingdom will be charged according to roaming rates.
For postpaid customers it will be automatically renewed each month. The prepaid customers will receive an SMS three days prior to the end of their subscription period. If subscribers wanted to cancel the service, they could do that by calling customer service (1100) or visit any Mobily outlet. The package will be removed for the customer completely and all his 2.5G and 3G usage after that will be normally charged (0.4 Halalas/KB).
“This offer from Mobily is a part of a chain of promotions on the pre-paid cards,” the statement said. It reflects the company’s policy on providing unique services with best prices to all its subscribers’ in order for them to use the service comfortably, it added.
