JEDDAH, 24 August 2006 — Action in the Prince Faisal ibn Fahd Cup football tournament continues today with two matches on tap.
In Hail, Al-Ahli will face Taie in a match that is expected to end in favor of Ahli. Ahli won their first match against Al-Hazem 6-1 in Jeddah last Thursday. With this result, Ahli topped Group A with three points and goal advantage. Taie lost their match against Shabab 4-1 in Riyadh last Friday. Taie, however, will try to bounce back with a victory and full three points. Taie are in third place with no points so far.
In the second match, Shabab will face Al-Hazem in Riyadh at King Fahd International Stadium. The match is also expected to be one sided in favor of Shabab. In all likelihood Shabab will try to go for as many goals as possible in a bid to overtake Ahli at the top of the group.
Tomorrow, Nasr face Al-Faisali in Al-Khurma and Wehda play a very strong match against Ittihad in Jeddah. All four Group C teams each have one point after the initial results that saw Ittihad tie against Al-Faisali 2-2 and Nasr draw against Wehda 2-2 in Riyadh.
