RIYADH, 11 September 2006 — A health care company will organize a free medical clinic for needy Pakistani workers in cooperation with the Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh.

“This is the first community initiative of its kind under which a free-for-all monthly clinic will be organized at the premises of the Pakistan Embassy,” said Dr. Amjad Rana, managing director of Medilink Healthcare Ltd.

Organizers say that a number of medical consultants from various hospitals will be at hand to examine patients. “Patients will get free treatment and medicines including consultation, sugar and blood tests,” said Dr. Rana.

Spelling out the salient features of the community initiative, Dr. Rana said that the clinic would also advise and create awareness about different medical insurance plans available to the Pakistani community.

The dates of the free clinic will be advertised on a monthly basis in local newspapers, at Pakistani schools and community centers.

The free clinic will operate during embassy working hours. Patients can call 01-4621255 or 4621054 for registration.
