JEDDAH, 4 November 2006 — Kuwaiti actress Suad Abdullah has said that her participation in the drama entitled “Aswatun Galabat Al-Aalam” (Voices That Have Changed the World) was in honor of people who defend human rights across the world. Speaking about the issues discussed by the drama, Suad said most of the ideas were taken from press interviews and stories of courage. The drama, which was written by Arial Dorfman, will be staged in Qatar this evening, reported the daily Al-Watan yesterday.
Prominent artists appearing in the drama include Ghanim Al-Selaiti of Qatar, Bahraini singer Khaled Al-Sheikh, Safiya Al-Amri and Mahmoud Yaseen from Egypt and Syrian actor Jamal Sulaiman.
