MAKKAH, 13 September 2006 — Students have been crowding Makkah’s Hijaz markets where a back-to-school festival is being held.
“Play, Enjoy and Win Prizes” is the theme of the festival that ends on Sept. 19. Children are especially enjoying drawing and coloring sessions, and photographing themselves with cartoon characters that are being freely and instantly arranged.
Laptops, school bags, paper tools, electronic cars and playhouse sets are among the prizes on offer. Fun Land is an additional attraction. The organizers have set Mondays and Thursdays for families.
