JIZAN, 24 September 2006 — A patrol team on the Kingdom’s border with Yemen foiled an attempt to smuggle into the country 140 kg of hashish, the daily Al-Watan reported yesterday. Authorities pursued the smugglers until they escaped across the border into Yemen. After a search of the area, border cops discovered the stash that has apparently been left at a location to be picked up by liaisons on the Saudi side of the border.
