DUBAI, 29 September 2006 — Honeywell announced a $7 million contract to supply process and safety controls for Tasnee Petrochemicals’ new ethylene plant in Saudi Arabia. Samsung Engineering Co., Ltd., one of the main contractors for the project, selected Honeywell to provide its award-winning process automation solution, the Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS), to manage the ethylene production. Honeywell will also install its Safety Manager platform to reduce the risk of incidents at the plant. “Next-generation facilities need next-generation technology, and Honeywell and Experion are two of the premier names in the chemical processing industry,” said Meghal B. Joshi, lead process control engineer for Tasnee.
