JEDDAH, 5 October 2006 — The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah has set this year’s Qur’an Reading Competition for the local Filipino Muslim community on Oct. 11.
In a press statement, Consul General Pendosina N. Lomondot said the contest will start at 10 p.m. at the auditorium hall of Marriot Hotel along Madinah Road in Jeddah. Contestants are required to appear personally before the consulate’s technical committee and submit their biodata and 1x1 photo before the close of office hours today (Oct. 5).

The forthcoming competition will be the 10th to be held by the consulate.
