JEDDAH, 5 October 2006 — The 2nd National Commercial Bank Ramadan annual soccer tournament entered the homestretch with the quarterfinal matches set for today and tomorrow and the semifinals on Sunday at the Al-Ahli Stadium in Rehab district here. The final will be announced later.
A cash prize of SR40,000 awaits the winner of the tournament, according to PR man Jameel Fallatah as per the directive of the finance committee chief Feras Al-Turki. Also, second place will receive SR20, 000, best player SR 3, 000, best scorer SR3,000 and best goalkeeper SR3,000.
The matches today will send NCB second team against Al-Khair Company and NCB first team against Hatco. Tomorrow, Al-Serafi Mega
Mall face Al-Jandoul Company and Safaa meet Abdulkhaliq Saeed
Company.
Ahli club president Ahmed Al-Marzouqi and Ammar Naghi, president of Mohammad Yousif Naghi Co., distributor of LG products, attended Tuesday’s matches.
NCB first team beat Hatco Telecommunications 2-0 to finish top of Group A. Ali Munif scored for the first goal for NCB and he was named LG Best Player of the Match. Hamza Bafagih was the other goal scorer of NCB.
LG and Al-Jandoul Company drew 3-3 in the other match.
