JEDDAH, 5 October 2006 — Waleed Hasun Filamban, Mohammed Abdul Jaleel and Hassan Al-Zahrani, all Saudi nationals, have emerged as the first three winners at Saudi Cup PlayStation Tournament 2006, Bowling World said yesterday.
In all 319 teenagers took part in the tournament, which was simultaneously held at Bowling World’s four city branches — Elysee Printemps Center, @city located at Jamjoom Commercial Center, Corniche and Roshan Mall for a month. Suzuki Barayan’s Administration Manager Ali Bahamam and Branch Manager Jamal Barayan, and Air-India’s Western Province Manager P. Ashok Kumar watched the finals played at Elysee Printemps Center branch as chief guests and presented prizes.
The organizers, headed by a Bowling World management team comprising General Manager Faris Hamad Al-Htailah, Marketing Manager Hamid Siddiqui and Manager Abdullah Al-Harabi said there was an overwhelming participation from Saudi enthusiasts and the event served the purpose of bringing to the fore PlayStation champions from all over the Kingdom.
Suzuki Barayan beach bike, Timex watch and Bowling World membership were among the prizes distributed to the first three winners. Seven other winners also received membership and watches as prizes.
