Borouge Launches New Study

DUBA, 10 October 2006I — Borouge yesterday announced the launch of a study to examine the feasibility of a major new expansion of its petrochemical complex in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi to produce and market base chemicals for the first time.Based on benzene and propane feedstock supplied by Borouge’s joint venture co-owner ADNOC, the new project will include world scale propane dehydrogenation and cumene-phenol plants, as well as several other downstream units.
DTCM Supports Leading Travel Agency

DUBAI — Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has extended its support to the UAE’s leading travel agency, Planet Travel & Tours, for hosting a conference in Dubai for its Russian counterpart, Capital Tours. The conference will take place from October 8 to 10 at Habtoor Grand Hotel in Jumeirah. “This conference will enable the tour operators to send more visitors to the emirate. Dubai is a destination of choice for an increasing number of Russian and CIS visitors,” said Khalid ibn Nassar, DTCM executive for overseas promotions.
